Whatcoat United Methodist Church Sunday School

We welcome you to attend our Sunday School ! We have classes each Sunday for children ages 3 - 18 and adults. Whatcoat United Methodist Church in Dover, Delaware, is a Bible believing, Bible teaching congregation. Our Sunday School curriculum reflects that, with lessons that are directly based on passages from both the Old and New testaments. We use Urban Ministries, Inc. instruction materials, which follow the same theme for all classes, written in age appropriate language. In each class, we encourage students to express their Christian faith and views through engagement in thoughtful discussion and activities. Teachers also infuse life lessons into each class session to help young people make good decisions as budding members of society.

At Whatcoat, we take the safety of our young people very seriously. Our Safe Sanctuary policy requires that we have two adults present in each classroom on Sundays and during Sunday School related activities. Adult members of our congregation can be relied upon to stand in the gap for classes with only one regular teacher. Background checks are required for all Sunday School personnel.
